Family Entertainment Center

The family entertainment center I went to was called Boomers in Fort. Lauderdale. It had an indoor playground, a go chart race track, laser tag, putt putt golf, and arcade room. It happens to be a huge area for children to run around and have a grand ole time. The indoor playground was of gigantic proportion. It had tunnels going all over the place to the point that a kid could get lost for hours. It had your typical ball pits but one of them where enormous with a king of the hill in the middle. I believe their was also one for the infants on the other side of the room. Their was catwalks and padded beams running above the ball pits. There was a section with cargo nets running across the walls and giant slides going down one side of the playground. I was debating weather or not to go in there and throw kids around because it looked so fun.

The go chart race track was a blast. The track tangled around the giant field and it’s guarded by tires. It’s really fun when you get a group of people together like friends and family and race all at once. Their was always one person who got stuck with the car that didn’t work half way through the race. Either that or somebody ended up turning their car around against traffic or running it over the tire barriers. And that was hilarious because the race track coordinator had to come out a spin the cart around. Also banging people illegally into the wall was good too.

Laser tag by far was my favorite. When you have accurate lasers and the lights are out it’s the best. The place was a big glow in the dark maze. We started out with teams but then it became a free for all where your friends sometimes betrayed you because it was fun. Some of the equipment malfunctioned or you just didn’t hit the laser in the sweet spot as I like to call it. I could see how time flies when you’re playing laser tag its crazy and confusing.

Putt Putt golf was not my favorite. I personally didn’t like it because everyone kept score and I kept getting screwed on the trick holes. The best fun I had was when we went off course and just started hitting are balls around. The place seemed like a giant playground and was so hard not to screw around. We put are balls on top of elevated objects and tried to hit it as far as we could. There weren’t a lot of people around so nobody got hurt. Everybody was hitting each other with their putter which hurt but it was fun. The best fun we had was when we took are balls in the cave course and hit them up against the wall, then when the last hole came up we took are balls and chucked them into the lake.

The arcade was pretty fun, but it burnt a hole into are pockets. We would challenge each other to fighting style games or we run co-op games were would have to shoot the robbers with are plastic pistols. The games where you can gain tickets to win prizes behind the counter, we didn’t waste our time with  that because everything you could win was crap. It’s a shame because it sucked the little kid’s right in.

The whole trip was very fun since my friends where there. As a little kid you need other kids there to enjoy the experience with you. It was fun but really expensive and probably something I wouldn’t do often.
