Theme
Park Essay
I have been to many theme parks through out my
lifetime. Some theme parks were a lot better than others. I won’t mention the ones I hated like Epcot back in the day.
One of my personal favorites and the most recent one I have visited was Universal Studios, not the Islands of Adventure. Universal
was my favorite because you could become part of your favorite movies. The shows were always interesting and sometimes pretty
entertaining.
One of my favorite rides of all time is the Terminator
2 ride into the future. Basically if you’ve ever seen the movie terminator 2 it’s almost like a sequel and probably
should been because T3 sucked. Anyway you first are in line watching a bunch of Cyberdyne adds or commercials on their latest
technological advances then all of sudden the video fed is broken by Jon Conner and Sarah Conner. Anyway the whole point of
the ride is that it takes through time while battling T-1000 and at the end, the Terminator destroys skynet. The whole ride
was very interactive which why I believe its still their and hopefully won’t be replaced.
Another ride that’s probably the most interactive
ride I know of is the Men In Black Alien attack. The line you wait in is built like the men in black building with all sorts
of interesting objects from the movie. Then the ride has you taking a built in laser tag gun and shooting aliens while gaining
points. The whole time you’re competing with the cart next to you for the highest score.
The shows at Universal are pretty entertaining
and sometimes interactive if you become selected for it. One of my favorites is the make up and special effects show. The
show is about all the secrets used in horror movies. Usually theirs a funny guy and theirs a serious guy. The guy is always
cracking mediocre jokes and squirting the audience with fake blood. Then they pick an audience member that they setup to scare
the crap out of while taking a picture of it.
All in all I enjoy Universal Studios every time
I go. You really ride the movies or at least you interact with the movies. Hopefully they won’t take the good rides
away and replace them with something that falls short of the prior ride. All
Universal needs to do are lower the souvenir prices and it would almost be a
prefect park.
