Video Game Essay

Watching a person play a video game like Madden Football can be intense depending on how the person reacts to the game. Usually when I play at times it can be because I really get into the game especially if I m in the playoffs or Super Bowl. You may hear a little cursing at times which is normal because most kids get into the game.

Watching someone else interact with a video game can be extremely interesting if they allow themselves to be immersed into the game. My brother was a prime example of that when I watched him play NCAA Football. I usually like playing and not watching but seeing my brother lose can be hilarous especially when he’s losing and your rooting for the computer A.I. to win.

He became very interactive as soon as the he started to become challenged with the game. Usually I heard yelling and curse words if he screw up a play or missed a tackle. This goes on for about an hour which is the typical amount of time you spend just playing one game. The interactivity is present throughout the game but doesn’t heat up until 4^th quarter depending on if the person is down in points or not.

When I started to see my brother play he seemed very normal. Picking the teams from the menu screen and starting the game you wouldn’t think that you would see anymore interaction just a person playing a video game. But my brother got into the game quick especially since he was faced with a challenge to cover a hard defender. After getting burnt which is when the cornerback is out runned by the reciver he started to get upset which told me he was deep into the game. If someone displays extreme emtion in a game then apparently the game was good at getting you involved some way or another.

Watching some one get into a game is quite intrging. They tend to forget its just a game and become so invovled that hours of time will pass by without them knowing it. My brother and even my self can play madden or ncaa football long amounts of time because we get invovled and thats themost important part of the game getting the user invovled. If you don’t get the user invovled then the game sucks period. It sucks at interactivity. Nobody pays money to watch a video game unless their watching somebody else who become extremely funny under trying circumstances. A good interaction keeps a player or a person watching attention for long amounts of time. Thats an interactive video game.
